Massage

Question from Sharon Field, Nottingham:

I am self conscious about my body.

I want to get a full body massage and know I will have to get undressed but I am slightly overweigh and a little bit embarrassed about my body. I don’t want to feel self conscious that the massage therapist is thinking badly about me.

Answer from Rita Phillips, Canterbury:

Most massage therapists have seen every body type you can imagine and to be honest, they will not be looking at your body. Your massage therapist is a professional providing a professional service and will be concentrating more on what they are doing than actually looking at your body or checking you out. It does not matter whether you are young or old, or what size you are, your massage therapist is only interested in making sure that your massage is relaxing and enjoyable for you.
